Looking for BFing advice re:teething pain
I remember going through this with my older son but for the life of me can not remember what I did to help him. My son is 6.5 months old, has no teeth yet, but I can feel the little bumps, and his gums are swollen, so I'm pretty sure he's working on it. For the past 2 days, for several feedings, he has been stopping before he gets to the hindmilk and pushing my breast away and will shut his mouth tightly, will not let me put my nipple back in. I'm guessing it's because the pressure from sucking to get the hindmilk out is too intense and hurts his sore gums. Anyone else go through this? Obviously, I want him to get that hindmilk- anyone have suggestions? TIA!

Do you have a pump? Can you pump the hind milk and give it to him in a bottle or mix it in with oatmeal or something?

Exactly what I was thinking. Or just put it in a bottle.
I figured sucking out of a bottle would hurt just as much, if not more. But I hadn't thought of mixing it in his oatmeal. I'll try that- thanks!
