BFing Moms: Question re: poop

DS is 5 months old and is EBFed. He normally poops at least once per day. He hasn't pooped since Thursday afternoon though. Before that, the longest he ever went without pooping was 1.5 to 2 days. DS is in good spirits, but I'm still a little concerned that he has gone several days without pooping. I called the doctor to see if there's anything I can do. I'm waiting for a call back.

Has anyone's DC had a similar issue? What, if anything, did you do?

have you been eating a lot of dairy? that can often cause constipation.

You can give plain water or half water/half juice (white grape, apple, or pear, or prune)

when he does poop, if it's formed and hard, then he's truly constipated, if it's normal poop, then he just didn't need to go.
