big girl/boy bed
If you moved your DC to a twin size bed before he/she was potty trained, what did you use to protect the mattress? DD is jumping out of her crib regularly--it's time to make the switch, but I'm not sure what to use to keep the mattress in good condition.
TIA

You can buy a waterproof mattress cover (its like a fitted sheet with something under it to protect the mattress from getting stained). I got this one from the Company Store love it b/c it's not plastic/vinyl at all, its quite nice soft and quiet.http://www.thecompanystore.com/T250-Waterproof-Mattress-Pad/MB09,default,pd.html?dwvar_MB09_color=WHITE&start=1&cgid=ck-bedding-matresspads-bedskirts

They have them in Target. Just bought one for DS. It is not plastic-feeling and you zipper the entire mattress in it. It was under $20.
