My dh actually surprised me with a membership as a holiday present and he said he was able to just get it automatically. I'm not sure if that was just some kind promotion around the holiday season, but could you try putting it in as a gift subscription? Maybe that would speed it up.

Exactly what I was going to say. I ordered this for my brother. No prob got it within a week or so.

i ordered mine on the 9th and it's first shipping on the 19th. but it did take a month to be able to order it because of the waiting list.

YOu can get around that whole waiting list thing, just click to order a subscription for someone else...and put it as your own address.
