I love their music but they are TERRIBLE live. That was the absolute worst.
To me, that is the true measure of a band, how they sound live.
They are not musicians, they are singers with a great studio technician. They SUUUCK so hard live...and even "live" they still use auto tune.

While I agree they do not have the best voices, their songs are catchy and I like them. I thought the performance was good.

my FB status right now is ... apparently im the only one enjoying the half time show...
the sound wasnt great...but i think the overall performance was entertaining...

I don't really care if they're overprocessed in the studio really, if I like the end result. Their stuff is catchy to me, just like Lady Gaga. I think she's a bit of a nut but it doesn't prevent me from enjoying her music.

love the black eyed peas and i loved the show, my mom and my aunt both in their sixties were grooving to the music and singing along
a lot of groups/singers don't sound great live, especially when they are jumping around, dancing and performing not just standing in one place,
i dont think they sounded that awful
and i think it was one of the better halftime shows i've seen

The point is not that their songs arent catchy, they are. I love them, but, they succk live. They did not sound good. I am not even talking about effects, they sounded pitchy.

I actually like their sound but Fergie's antics make me wanna throw something at the TV. She has no voice, she's a pitchmonster. And Slash still rocks  but Fergie singing "Sweet Child o' Mine" was vomitous

Fergie sounded like someone was shaking the sh!t out of her! WTH was that?!?!?!? Glad they sang ever song in their discography too! Thank God for that!

I completely agree, I said the live show was terrible. I've never seen them sing well live. They just shout into the mics, aren't even in tune.
That said, I do like their albums.

i love them! they're one of my favorite groups.
this years half time show was pretty good IMO. the past few years have been horrible shows, but i liked the mix of artists they got together for this year.

half time show sucked (usher was good tho) ... i was surprised, cause i saw BEP live a few years back (they opened for N.E.R.D.) and i was impressed cause i hadn't been expecting much ...
