Bleeding 5 weeks after giving birth
Is it my period or should I be worried? I had DD 5 weeks ago via c-section. I stopped bleeding a while ago and I just started bleeding again. Not a lot just enough to show on a pad. Its bright red too. Do I need to call my OB or is it my first period? I'm breastfeeding too if that makes a difference.

I got my first period right at 6 weeks so it could be your period.

I bled for about 6 weeks after giving birth. About 3 weeks straight then on and off for another 3 weeks. I exclusively pumped and got my first AF a little over 3 months PP.
ETA: I felt that the bleeding PP looked different from AF. It was a different color, texture and consistency than my normal AF.

I bled PP with both for 7 weeks.

I bled for 7 weeks. Still no period at 13 months, but I'm bfing. If you are concerned, you should call your ob.

Same here. I had a c/s with DD and bled on and off and at 6 weeks I finally got my period.

I bled on and off (but mostly on) for 6 weeks after having DS. Then I got my period.
