Re: Bleeding Gums
I have bleeding gums really bad after I brush. I look like a vampire sometimes! But I have never woken up with blood on my pillow. I think though it is probably normal. I know that I drool in my sleep now so maybe that happened to you.

Re: Bleeding Gums
As a dental hygienist I urge you to get a cleaning and go get your gums checked out. Pregnancy gingivitis can be serious if untreated. It is completely safe to have a cleaning at any point during your pregnancy and it will help so so much

Re: Bleeding Gums
I would go to the dentist. My gums bleed normally but when I am pregnant it is really bad. Do you floss? Flossing might slove the problem. If I don't floss then my gums bleed. I also rinse with listerine after I floss.

Re: Bleeding Gums
Mine gums were really bad in the beginning too. I went to the dentist and had a cleaning and they are so much better now. I also rinse with listerine after brushing. My dentist said if it gets bad again to come back for a cleaning in 3 months as opposed to 6 months. Def. call your dentist, you will feel so much better.
