London Broil
Penne a la vodka
4 ft hero
Sides:

broccoli slaw
potato salad
mac salad

question- how many pounds of pasta for 30 people and how many london broils for 30 people.. remember, there will be three entrees.

normally they say average about a half a pound of meat per person, so I would say anywhere between a third to a quarter since there are other options...so

london broil, I would do about 10 or 12 lbs.

I would do about 4-5 pounds of pasta.

if that is the totality of your menu though, it really looks to me like you have 2 "mains" the pasta and the meat, and then the sandwich with the cold salad sides.

if you had meatballs to go with the penne, and veggies to go with the london broil, plus the sandwich, I would say 2 hot mains plus the sandwich.

to me, a main is kinda a complete meal. penne and salad, meat and potatoes. kwim. it looks like the penne is the side to the london broil, and the sides are there for the sandwich, which is why I would err on the side of caution and go with the higher poundage on the meat and the pasta.

I would make three 1.5-2 lb. london broils if that's the only meat. If you are having hot dogs and hamburgers too I would do 2 of the same size. I would probably do 3 boxes of pasta. I had a bbq for abut 40 people at my house recently and did 2 1 lb. bags of wacky mac and had some leftover but that was pasta salad and a side dish.
