Blood (enter with caution)
I went to bathroom this afternoon and had a bowel movement (BM)-had to strain to go (sorryTMI) , I looked down and there was a large amount of blood, so I thought I started AF...no biggie. I put a tampon in. Its been a few hours, so I just went to change it & there wasn't a single drop off blood on the tampon Could that blood have been from the BM? It was ALOT! WTHeck? I did some online research & could have had a tear causing the blood but there was SO much... Never in my life have I taken out a clean tampon. Any thoughts? Just when I thought Af was here...I left tampon out so I could track better... ************** 12am & still no AF...no more blood either ******************* 10/15 AF is here

Re: Blood (enter with caution)
hhhmmm
Maybe it was then just from straining. However, if you do see any more blood and it's from that end. (rear) then that is a concern if it happens a few times.
DO u have any cramps....does it feel like AF?
That's weird that you haven't really spotted yet.

Re: Blood (enter with caution)
ok this happened to me once, scared the crap out of me thought I was sick or something, but never happened again. Apparently you can pop a blood vessel and that is probably what you saw. However if you see it again you might want to go see a doctor.

Re: Blood (enter with caution)
It might be a hemmorroid. Sometimes (esp when you strain or push) if you have a hemmorroid it will bleed. The bleeding could look like AF bc of the amount. Did it hurt to go?

No cramps, didn't feel like AF. Yes, it hurt to go.

Re: Blood (enter with caution)
Ok this is TMI, but oh well, all of this TTC business is, right? I have, in the past month had 2 BM's where I had a sort of large amount opf blood after, and both times I had to strain. Geez I am blushing just typing this. But I have read online that straining can cause a tear or even an internal hemmroid (sp) that can bleed. But I guess thats a good thing, that means AF hasn't shown up, and you aren't out!!!

hemroid? (sp??) Sorry for TMI but I suffer from them and have seen a large amount of blood before. You could have irritated it.

You could have a fissure, be careful and if it happens again, see a doctor.

Re: Blood (enter with caution)
huh. I did hear that you can tear something when straining. Weird that you said it was a lot though. Maybe if you see it again then you should call the doctor just to be on the safe side. But if it was only once, then that could just be it. I never experienced that before, but I do remember a few months ago I had light spotting (which I NEVER get) about a week before AF was due. I was convinced it was implantation bleeding, but it just turned out that it was basically from too rough sex. lol. Must've 'torn' something then too. So I'm definitely a believer in the fact that we are fragile and we can bleed for many reasons other than AF
To me it definitely sounds like your AF is not here. No reason it would just show up for a moment and then never again. This would make you how many days late now? Probably 2 or 3 days, right? I would definitely test again tomorrow morning. KEEP US POSTED!!
