Denise just called and things went well. They didn’t have to cut as much as they thought they would. (Not sure exactly how much they did).
They were so glad they did the surgery now because there was pressure building on his brain and if they would have waited longer, there could have been issues with damage. He’s going to be very swollen for a bit and cranky but he was a trooper!!!
Denise is so grateful for everyone's prayers and good wishes! Seems like they worked!

UPDATE: I spoke to Denise this morning. Ethan had a good night, is healing on schedule as expected. He is very swollen and purple but that is on track for what he went through. Today should be the worst for him and a better weekend. As long as he continues to heal on track, he should be okay to handle the second surgery in a few days.
