Did your ultrasound tech guess the sex of your baby at the level I scan? (UPDATE)

Just curious,. I will be almost 12 weeks when I go tomorrow

UPDATE -

So the tech would not even venture a guess. Things look GREAT with the baby and s/he was moving ALL around, the baby was even doing a head stand when she first started the exam

I will post some pics tonight after I scan them

Heart rate of 157, estimated gestational age 11w, 5days which is right on target

overall, a great appointment. The tech could not get the right measurements so the scan took 30 minutes before she could get the right shots, it was great seeing the baby for so long

mine wouldnt take a guess that early.

No...she told me it was way to soo and she didn't want to take a guess. I think I was 12 weeks 2 days when I had it done.

My sis had her tech guess, Tech wanted to. Uh she was WRONG!

I was 12w6d and told her if she could tell not to tell me. She said it was too early and couldn't tell now anyway.

mine flat out refused - we asked nicely and then even were like - we're just curious....no pressure, etc....NO dice!

ours offered an "all in good fun" guess - she said she was about 75% sure it was a girl.

Fast forward 3.5 weeks, and an ultrasound shows a proud, shameless little BOY throwing his parts all over the u/s screen.

Our tech asked us if we wanted to see if she could see something...When she looked she said she could not get a good look

I didn't ask. I wanted the tech to be sure, so i waited till 20 weeks.

ya know what though Steph - mention the Intelligender to the tech...be like, well, we took a test using my urine and some chemicals and it said this.....was curious if you could see if it was right...

nope wouldnt guess but we didnt want to know but asked if she would if we did and she said no it was to early

It wasn't the sono tech, but the doctor who checked after the tech asked us if we wanted to know. We said yes and he said, "I am 90% sure we are looking at a boy!" Well, he was right!! I've heard when they guess boy, they are more often correct than when they guess girl. I guess the boy is easier to tell? Not sure. Good luck!!!

The sono tech gave us a guess and said she was 75% sure it was girl. Sure enough, she was a girl!

my tech guessed boy at just about 12 weeks.

we'll see on march 9!

My tech asked me if we wanted to know, I didn't even initiate the conversation. Apparently baby was in perfect position for her to take a good guess. I was already 14 weeks though... not sure how big a difference that makes.

We asked and she was like "I am never wrong but I dont want to jinx my record" And she wouldnt tell us. Then she said "well looks like a girl but could be an "inactive" boy" - whatever that means...so who knows. We will see on 3/19 !

No, and i wouldn't even ask. IMO, i have the same odds of guessing as they do at that point. I dont see the point in it.

I was told with Jack that he was a boy. She said she was 99% sure when I questioned her accuracy.

I was kind of bummed that I found out since for the next 7 weeks I really doubted it.

Of course, I already decided that I will be asking this time anyway!

yes our tech said she had a great shot and my baby was showing her everything... that it would be 85% guess.. she guessed ihave my level 2 on march 10th so ill find out if shes right then. DHs hoping she was wrong im hoping shes right!
