Re: Boarding your dog?
Not sure where you are located but we have been using Quail Run in Medford. Great place and have never had any complaints. We've never used Petshotel.

Re: Boarding your dog?
I have heard (not sure about if it's on here) but some dogs were getting sick at Petsmart boarding. Where are you located?

Oh no, really? Not that we're anywhere close to going away and leaving the dog (he's only a puppy- 17/18 weeks) but we are in Eastern Nassau (South Shore.)

We like Hounds Town. They're in Port Jeff and Ronkonkoma. They let the dogs run around and play together during the day so they're not cooped up in a crate or cage all day.

Best in show pet resort in mineola is amazing. I use them for grooming, daycare when needed, and boarding.

Re: Boarding your dog?
We are boarding our pup at Willow Pet Hotel for the first time this weekend. I've heard nothing but great things about it and when I walked in, all I can say is wow! The owner spent about 1.5 hours with me, showing me around, answering my zillion questions (with lots of patience, I might add), reviewing the different boarding options and packages - but not pushing a single thing on me - he (Mark) was great. The place is spotless, the staff were very nice.....I feel 100% comfortable leaving my furbaby this weekend.
The place is second generation family owned and operated and you can tell Mark loves the facility - it is obvious that it is more than just a business to him.
ETA: I thought the prices were reasonable too. We're paying $50/night and that includes a 4x6x20 run (or 'suite'), doggie daycare, 1 private playtime per day and a bucket of toys.

I have heard good things as well, from someone I know who uses them.
