I feel like the furniture there, while cheap, is very poor quality. It's kind of a get what you pay for kind of thing.
I agree too. We have a TV stand from there, it looks nice but it's not the greatest quality. But I can't complain, I only paid $300 for it. We got our DD a mattress from them, she doesn't mind it because she's 6 , but it's really cr@p. I couldn't sleep on it.

Re: Bob's Furniture Store
When we first got married we were young and didn't have much money, pretty much all of furniture came from Bobs. My dining room set would still be in good shape if my kids hadn't destroyed it (scratches, stains, etc...) , our bedroom set is still holding strong and looks brand new. We also still gave the original couches we got from there down in our playroom and my SIL had them in her apartment for a few years, and they're still in good shape. On the flip side the second couch set we bought there was garbage. It was literally on the curb within 2 years.

Re: Bob's Furniture Store
I have a pub height kitchen table from there. It's very wobbly. The chairs are great. I know the delivery can be bad. They chip things a lot. Then they don't replace them.. they try and fix it. I didn't have that experience but, friends of mine have.

Re: Bob's Furniture Store
we have a bedroom set and had a dining room set from bobs which we love. We had couches from there and I would never get another couch from them. you definitely get what you pay for. it wore out after a year and became SO uncomfortable.

Re: Bob's Furniture Store
We bought our entire bedroom set and living room set from Bob's in 2010 and we haven't had any problems. I actually broke one of the drawers in the dresser because I overfilled it and they gave us a brand new dresser for free!
However, I know 2 different people who have had major issues with them recently.

Bob's Furniture Store
I am selective when buying from Bob's. I have one or 2 "fill in" pieces I have purchased (a side table) and they are just fine.
Depending on what I could afford I would definitely look there, but by and large you get what you pay for. Its not the best quality but its decent.

Re: Bob's Furniture Store
I am very happy with my bedroom set from them. My living room couch to ok a OT of abuse but it's not bad at all. I had a pull out sofa, I didn't like the sleep quality at all.

Bob's Furniture Store
Agree w hit or miss. My SIL has a high top table in the kitchen and a couple years later still in great condition, same for couches my parents have but friends have stuff that is basically falling apart after a couple years.

Bob's Furniture Store
i love my furniture from bobs- we have a bed, bob-o-pedic(LOVE), a couch, two side tables and a coffee table. So far, everything is still in really great condition- I do not have a power recliner or anything on my couch, so I can't speak about the quality of that. As far as the cushions getting flattened as someone said on here, we have the bob-o-pedic cushions so that hasn't happened with us so far.
We decided to get furniture from Bob's because my mother and father in law have all their furniture from Ethan Allen, and have had to replace their couch like 3 times already because the cushions get messed up. I've heard people complain about raymour and flanigan as well. So I think it really depends on the furniture you are buying, but I personally think it's a risk no matter what. To me, I'd rather spend less and replace later on if needed, rather than doing the same with an expensive couch

i think their wood furniture (dining room tables, bedroom sets) are better than their couches. I've had 2 couches from them and I'm not happy. I don't know when I'll learn my lesson. But I think my grandparents have the powerlift chairs and they're fine.
Yeah i agree. I have a fireplace/tv stand from them that i absolutely adore. my brother has crappy couches.

Agree 100%. I don't even give them credit for their wood furniture. We purchased DS's bedroom set there and have had lots of issues, especially dry rot.

Yep, we bought wood tables from bobs for our den. They look good and were cheap, but they aren't holding up well. They are fine for a den with a couch I bought from Macys in 2002, as the couch looks like hell and i know I'll replace the whole room in a few years, but not long term furniture.
Honestly my IKEA furniture held up longer then these tables.

Re: Bob's Furniture Store
I guess I'm in the minority but I like Bob's. I bought my daughter's furniture there a few years ago and I bought a couch there a few years before that. Never had a problem, still in good condition. I've had furniture from expensive furniture stores that has broken or got easily stained and so to me, the difference in quality is negligible and not worth spending a ton more money.

We hate our Bob's couch. I would never shop there again.
