Book recommendation for historical fiction lovers...
because I'm always looking too!
I am 3/4 of the way through with Time and Again by Jack Finney and I'm loving it! The majority of the book takes place in 1882 Manhattan and is SO interesting! So if you enjoy that time period, definitely check it out!

Did you read Pillars of the Earth, by Follett? It was amazing- from the Middle Ages- which I had no interest in at all. But my book club chose it and I am so glad I read it.
I also loved The Chaperone- really intriguing and lots of twists and turns I didn't expect!
The Maisie Dobbs mysteries, set in England during the early 1930s, are really interesting too.

Re: Book recommendation for historical fiction lovers...
Good stuff! Looks like I'll be loading up my wish list!
How I could I not have mentioned these??? The Winds of War and War and Remembrance by Herman Wouk. They take place during the WWII era and they are spectacular! I cannot overestimate this. (Some of us on the...errrr..."older" side may remember the 80s miniseries. )
They are on the longer side--like 900 pages long! But you will not be sorry. Everyone to whom I've recommended these have loved them. It was hard to leave the Henry family after spending 2000 pages with them.
Please...run out now and buy them! No, seriously!

I loved the Winds of War & War and Remembrance!
Do you remember North & South (loved Patrick Swayze in the miniseries)? The books (a trilogy by John Jakes) were fantastic! He also has a series of books called the Kent Family Chronicles that go from the Revolutionary War.....
All amazing books.
