Book Recs
Does anyone have any recommendations for books for a 11 year old girl. She's very into reading and I'm looking for a good chapter book.

The Witch of Blackbird Pond by Elizabeth George Speare
The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle by Avi
Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Paterson
From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs Basil E Frankweiler by EL Konigsburg
They are kind of "boy" books but when I taught my students really liked Maniac Magee by Jerry Spinelli and Bud, Not Buddy by Christopher Paul Curtis.
The Giver by Lois Lowry is really good but I would read it first if I were you.
All the above authors have all published multiple books- so there will be lots of additional possibilities if she likes any of the above.

At her age I remember reading The Babysitters Club books and Nancy Drew books. They are for ages 8 and up. You can look them up on Amazon for reviews and description. I loved reading them.

Yeah, I don't have any up-to-date recommendations, as I only have a younger DS. But I also loved these books.
And if for chapter books that are a series, I LOVED The Little House on the Prairie books as well as The Anne of Green Gables series. I think both of those would be age-appropriate for an 11 year old.
