Booking a European cruise for next year.
We are going on the Summit (Celebrity cruise line), for a 12 night cruise out of Venice Italy. Has anyone been on this cruise before? It is so expensive, but we are dying to go to Europe before we start a family. That is why we are booking now. You get a better price when you book early, plus we have a year to save for it.

Last year I went on a 12 day Mediterranean cruise through Princess. I had an awesome time! I found cruisecritic.com very helpful for planning what to do at the ports. There is a board all for Europe Ports. You can see what is easy to do on your own and what you should arrange tours for.

We are leaving in less than a month for a 12 night Princess Cruise out of Venice returning to Rome. I have used cruisecritic a lot as well. Let me know if you have any questions!

Re: Booking a European cruise for next year.
Always wondered about European tours - question: Are the waters rocky ?
I once went on a cruise out of New York to Bermude and got SO sick. I'm hoping the waters are more still over there.
also, did you eat your meals on the boat? I'd imagine with all the different places to eat on the land - that's what is preferred....
thanks ;)

The water was not rocky at all for us! It was smooth sailing. I have been on a few cruises and always had to take the dramamine, but not this time.

We ate breakfast on the ship. We usually ate lunch and snacks at the different ports, or a light dinner. Honestly, the food was a rip off on the land, because we were at very touristy places. We spent $50 euros on 2 mini pizzas and 2 cokes in Venice. And it wasn't even that good! So, we just had a little taste of something on the land and then ate a huge dinner on the ship because it was free
