Boston Hotel Rec's!
I'd like to be within walking distance of Quincy Market.
I was thinking of the Omni. Anyone ever stay there?

Yes, I stayed there a couple years ago. I loved the Hotel, it was clean and beautiful. Everyone working there was so friendly and helpful (especially the concierge when we kept asking for recomendations).
The only downsides: the rooms are very small (didn't bother me, though), there is no street parking and valet is expensive. I think there is garage parking down the street, but we didn't look into that.

You should book through hotwire.com
i've been very lucky in hotels in the area. We stayed in the bostonian recently and it was great and we didn't spend a fortune to stay there. EVERYTHING was in walking distance.

we stayed at the sheraton, were very happy and walked everywhere including quincy
