Bottle parts in lower dishwasher a no-no?

I read in the instructions that came w our bottles that you should never wash any of the parts in the lower basket in the dishwasher; top level only. But Dr Browns have a lot of parts and baskets are mostly on the bottom.

Does anyone know why they say this? Do you follow this rule? Is it terrible if I don't?

I never knew this and when I do wash them in the dishwasher (which is rare) I put the nipples in the lower basket.

Hmmm

But I wanted to add- they sell a dishwasher basket that you can use on the top shelf.
BRU and BBB have it.
It holds all the parts and you can just put it on your top shelf.

I use Dr. Browns too and I put the nipple and beige part that snaps into the blue tube in the bottom basket. All other parts go on the top rack.

In general you are not supposed to put plastic anything on the bottom rack. And when they say basket I don't think they are talking about the dishwasher baskets for silver wear. I think they mean the baskets you buy in the store for the bottles
