Bottle Question For Expectant Moms Like Me...

I registered for two kinds. The Born Free and Dr. Browns. On BBB's web site the Dr. Brown's Bottles have an infant starter kit but they DON'T say BPA FREE. However, there is another listing for them (non starter kit) that specifically says BPA FREE. Do you think think the starter kits are BPA too, or no. I also believe they come in glass too, which would be BPA free but the site doesnt have it to add to your registry. I decided to register two types to see what my baby likes better, is this normal? Also, as for the Dr. Brown's bottles, I like the insulated carrier case that they have for them as well as the warmer/sterilizer.

Dr. browns that say BPA free are the bpa free ones.. if it doesnt say and arent glass then they are not bpa free.

I used for a bit with my dd and then when all the news came out about BPA i returned them and now use Born free and I LOVE THEM.. im using Born free with baby #2.

from what I understand is that the BPA is only released into the milk or formula if you heat the milk in a microwave so as long as you don't do that and you really shouldn't anyway they are said to be safe but as another option there are the drop in the bottles contain BPA but the liners that touch the formula do not that is what I decided to use

thanks for posting this, I registered for the same 2 types and didn't even think that the starter kit wouldn't be BPA free, I'll have to take that off my registry, thanks!

we're doing glass only........ while bpa can pose a risk, I suspect in 10 years time, they'll discover another chemical in plastic that is equally hazardous... glass is totally inert and safe.....

we registered for 2 different brands, so Scone can chose which he likes better.....

We did glass for the formula bottles, and are now using the Born Free drinking cup. (I cannot let him use a glass drinking cup b/c he throws themChat Icon ) He no longer has his milk heated, and I wash with a non-abrasive sponge.
