Re: Bottles?
I registered for the dr Browns gift set - my friends and family rave about these bottles. I was a little worried about them being harder to clean but my SIL said it is really no big deal - she puts them in the dishwasher and I probably will as well...

Re: Bottles?
I started with Avent since I read they are best when nursing. I liked them very much - but once I stopped nursing I switched to Dr. Brown's and I noticed Talia starting eating more. I think they are both great bottles - it all depends on which agree with the baby more.

Re: Bottles?
In the beginning my son spit up alot, so we were using Dr. Brown's. After finding the right formula, I use both Dr. Brown's and Advent.
I wash them by hand daily and sterilize every 7-10 days.

Re: Bottles?
I am surprised that more people didn't mention the playtex drop ins. We tried the Dr. Browns and I think they made her spit up more then the dropins so we switched back. We tried the change at around 2 weeks old. We are using the drop ins since and I love them -- we have no problems with them at all.

Re: Bottles?
I originally registered for Advents and then switched to Dr. Browns and I am a believer in them. They are a little bit of a pain to wash but well worth it!

I did because (1) I would like to try doing both and (2) this is my first so I am not 100% sure I will be a successful BF'er.

Re: Bottles?
I registered for Advent because I also heard very good things about them and BFing. I plan on doing both so I registered for a bunch of bottles.

If you are concerned with heating foods up in plastic, I think these are safer and they are by the Dr Brown's people, they are very similar at least.
