Jordan has the same issue! His pants are always hanging off his butt! I have found that Carter's seems to run smaller in the waist. Also, look for pants or shorts that have the adjustable elastic inside the waistband to make the pants tighter.

carter's pants most (if not all) have the adjustable waist that you can pull the elastic inside and secure it with a button...
BEST INVENTION EVER!!
this is what I have to do with my string bean son! he needs 3T for the length but I prob could still get a way with the waist of 18 mo clothes...he is 2.5 yrs old!!!

Re: boy moms - smaller waist pants?
My boys always had that problem and still do. They've ALWAYS worn Carter's and then as they got bigger even with their pants now, I ONLY buy the pants that have the adjustable waistbands in them.

Re: boy moms - smaller waist pants?
The Children's Place had adjustable waists - James was the same way - length was always way too long for where his waist was.

DS is the same way. I don't think I have one pair of adjustable waist pants though. I have just sewed the waist in a little when I remember. I need to get some adjustable ones though. We have a whole bunch of jeans he never wears b/c they just fall down.

DS is only able to wear adjustable waist pants. I got a bunch of adj waist shorts from Oshkosh. Normally he wears Gap Jeans.

Adam has the same problem with his pants also, they were constantly falling down. I only just discovered the adjustable waist pants. Best invention EVER!! The ones I have are from the Gap and Children's Place.

I need to get some adjustable ones too! 6-12 are so short on him but 12-18 are so big in the waist.
