I registered a few Weeks ago and I didn't see any of the pacifiers with BPA free written on them. THe bottles had it though. I thought I read that all pacifiers where free of BPA. Now I have to check the ones I registered for. I don't want anything with BPA.

It's probably a matter of personal preference.
I don't want anything with BPA in mine or my children's mouth if I can avoid it. Heated up or not.

I never thought of the pacifiers containting BPA. The nipple part is made of silicone, no? And the plastic part doesnt seem to be made of the same kind of plastic that bottle are made of. At this point I don't boil them anymore to sanitize them I just throw them in the dishwasher or wash them by hand with soap and water.

If you are throwing them in the dishwasher, then the water that is being used to wash them with is hot enough to leach the BPA.

I'm sorry if I am being dim, I just don't get it.
What I'm assuming Kate is that the plastic which holds the nipple is the BPA free or nonfree portion..... and what I'm assuming is that when washed/dishwasher/sterilized, it is leaching BPA and then when the child is sucking on it, plastic to skin transfer.
