Braverman practice
Hi ladies,
After 3 losses in 14 months, I am thinking I need a new perspective and may switch REs, although I do love my current one.
Can anyone share their experiences with Braverman? How does the practice run? Do you have to go to NYC or does envy thing happen in Woodbury too?
TIA

Re: Braverman practice
It's possible to see him in the city, though MOST patients I believe see him at his Woodbury office for everything with the exception of the egg retrieval and embryo transfer since there is no embryology lab in the LI office.
Dr.B is really hands on, you see him at every appointment (or at least that's how it worked when I went!) and he's EXTREMELY accessible. He communicates with patients a lot through email which is great since most questions pop up after you've already left an appointment. I had times when I've emailed him after midnight and he responded within minutes. I often felt like I was his only patient.
The downside, which I'm not sure if it's still like this ... is the wait times. Now, that said, I never really minded and always felt the wait was worth it anyway. I knew the reason for the wait was because Dr.B was taking his time answering someone's 100 questions and I knew when it came time for MY appointment, he would answer all of my 500 questions He also started taking out of network insurance, so just need to make sure you have OON benefits.
Good luck!

In my opinion the only downside would be OON (but it wasnt an issue for me since I had OON) I never had to wait in his Woodbury office, only in the city office (he is only there 2 afternoons a week, not sure if that has changed). Like Pennycat, I felt like his only patient as well. He has emailed me back in the middle of the night, called me at 11pm on a Saturday night just to reassure me, and always went above and beyond to make sure that nothing ever fell through the cracks.

Same here... i saw him pretty much exclusively in the city and yes its a horribly long wait most days... I would only make apts for 4-430.

Re: Braverman practice
I absolutely love Dr. Braverman. As the PP's said, the wait time is the worst, but he is very attentive to every single patient.
All of my monitoring appointments were in Woodbury and my retieval and tranfer were done in NYC.
