It is gradual. Not at all like you wake up one day to a huge frizzball, LOL! In my case, I can tell by the change in texture first. The first one I had lasted a good 5 months. I did my second one in July, too.

exactly!

You just know by the texture, it changes.

it can last longer by using the right shampoo/conditoner and not washing everyday.

Good point about the shampoo/condish Chat Icon . Speaking of which, I do not like the one I got from my salon. I believe it is made by a new line of products called Unite. What shampoo/conditioner do you use?

Sorry to OP about hijacking.

Loreal Everypure is what I use. I also hear Bedhead has a line at Ulta. Use your $3.50 coupon and get it for under $10 Chat Icon

Re: Brazilian straightener ?

i use the keratin complex shampoo made by the creator of the product. that's what my salon sells. i figured all the salons do!

and you'll know it's coming out when you start to see a little frizz and the texture changes.

I use Aveda's color conserve shampoo and conditioner. I really like Aveda products, so I looked at the ingredients and there was no sodium chloride or sulfites in that particular formula.
