Breakfast Question---Please Help

What do you ladies feed your 15 month olds for Breakfast and how much do you give?

I'm still on cereal and stage 2 fruit...

He's had some mini pancakes but that's in addition to the cereal and fruit. See the thing is if I don't give him cereal then what do I give for breakfast that's a good portion. For example: If I give him eggs...How much and can I give him eggs and then fruit? Please help me with some ideas...Thanks...

DS is 13 months old and has been eating table food for all 3 meals since he was 10 - 11 months old. For breakfast DS either gets: mini pancakes, waffles, french toast, scrambled egg with cheese, toast, etc.

Re: Breakfast Question---Please Help

I watch a little boy that is about a year old but it will give you an idea. He eats all table foods. Sometimes his mom sends him with:

mini waffles
mini pancakes
yogurt
cheerios w/a little milk & banana
raisin toast
He usually has a fruit with everything he eats.

If you give him eggs I think 1 scrambled egg would be enough for him.

Are scrambled egg whites ok? Or should it be the whole egg.

Re: Breakfast Question---Please Help

we have similar things here.

pancake, french toast, bananas, he's not in love with eggs, but I keep giving them to get him to like them Chat Icon (doesnt quite hate them either Chat Icon)

so either of those as his own munchie food to feed himself.
then a half hour or hour later.
baby cereal mixed with a fruit or some yogurt, and squirt of vitamin.

Interesting that you post this because I was wondering if you need to do the cereal and fruit in addition to the eggs. That's what I do sometimes.

After he has his baby cereal and the fruit...I'll give him the mini pancakes pancakes half an hour later for him to feed himself...

you dont "need" to do anything Chat Icon
Just see if you think he's more hungry, and play it by ear
once the food starts flying to the floor, breakfast is over. Chat Icon

Re: Breakfast Question---Please Help

Breakfast is probably the only meal I've mastered....we have a bunch of options, and he loves all of them.

Nutrigrain Blueberry waffle and seasonal cut up fruit (right now it's watermelon)

Slice of Raisin bread and Yogurt

French Toast Sticks and seasonal cut up fruit

Small bowl of Cheerios and a banana

Scrambled egg with cheese and 1/2 english muffin (I give him the top side, it's softer)...then I'll give him fruit later as a snack

bowl of regular oatmeal with an applesauce

4 french toast sticks and a banana

1 scrambled egg with cheese

cereal, like Cheerios or Rice Krispies, dry with a cut up banana in it.
