Breast fed baby and diarrhea
How can I tell if DS has diarrhea? His stool was a little more on the green side this afternoon and it wasn't the thick pudding consistency it normally is. It was a bit more watery looking. Would this be considered diarrhea? And if it is, when should I call the Ped? DS is 9 weeks. He has no fever and no vomiting.

Did you eat something different? How is he acting otherwise. If it was a tummy ache I would expect him to be cranky.

Was it seedy? Healthy BF poops can definitely be watery, but they should still look seedy. If they it doesn't have seeds in it, it is considered diarrhea. I would just keep checking it, and if it continues that way after a full day or so, I'd probably call the ped at that point.

I think I had way too much dairy the last couple of days. He is overall fine. Has been passing gas in both directions better than he ever has. And has been eating just fine. The poop was slightly seedy but just watery looking. Normally it isn't too seedy but that mustard yellow with pudding consistency.

Lactose is usually the culprit. If he is gaining and not complaining don't worry.
