Breast Pump Rentals?
I registered for a breast pump, but in all honestly don't feel that I want to spend/have someone else spend almost $300 for something I may not end up using. I have all good intentions of breast feeding, but as we all know it doesn't always work out that way. A friend of mine mentioned that I could rent a breast pump and then just buy the new tubes, etc...
Does anyone know where is a good place to rent a breast pump?

Re: Breast Pump Rentals?
I rented from Bennett medical supply in Huntington, no problems. I was required to buy the new parts (tubes valves etc). I think it was $100 for the month? I used the hospitals pump while I was in there and the day I came home, DH went to the store and rented the pump for me. The hospital gave me the names of a bunch of places and I just picked the one closest to me.

Re: Breast Pump Rentals?
I rented one from the hospital (St. Charles) and I also looked into renting one from Centereach Pharmacy.

Re: Breast Pump Rentals?
I had a Medela pump from BRU with my first DH, but since my twins were premies I needed to use a hospital grade pump...those are the ones you typically rent bc they cost around $2000 or so. You buy the parts so they are sterile (about $75) and the pump rental ranges from around $60-100/ month depending on where u rent from. You can ask your nurse at the hospital and she will get you the info. You can also find out if our insurance will cover the purchase of the pump or the rental...if you do a search on here u will find info on how to check w/ur insurance.
Good luck!
