Breastfeeding moms question..

When you were in the hospital and breastfeed DC right after they were born did you have colostrum?

I am asking b/c i did not have any colostrum the nurses were squeezing and squeezing and nothing came out. My milk finally came in on day number 3.

I had to supplement and give DS formula b/c he was also jaundiced.


Anyone have this experience?

My BF has a 5 week old. She had colostrum in hospital, milk came in on day 3 or 4. Her baby did get some jaundice and she supplemented one bottle per night of formula but thats it.
