Breastfeeding moms with colicky babies
Did the pediatrician reccomend a special diet for you to try? Weston is so gassy and Mylacon isn't helping. I am thinking it is something I am eating, but I am avoiding all of the known foods to cause gas like caffeine, brocolli, chocolate, etc.
Any advice would be appreciated, I hate seeing my little dude like this.

Re: Breastfeeding moms with colicky babies
The only thing my doctor recommended for me was cutting out dairy for a while. The only problem is that he said if the baby was having a problem with my dairy intake that things wouldn't get better right away. He said it would take a week or 2 for it to have any effect on the baby.
My cousin was only able to eat VERY bland foods when she was nursing in order for the baby to have no reaction. She lived on boiled chicken & white rice for months.
One thing I suggest you try is Gripe Water (if you haven't yet). They sell it at BRU and BBB (some pharmacies too). It's a natural soother for babies. It contains chamomile & fennel which are known to calm upset stomachs. Mylicon doesn't work for everyone.

Sometimes tomatos or sauce can upset baby, there is also a position where you hold them on their stomach and pull their legs to their chest, that helps her when she has gas

Re: Breastfeeding moms with colicky babies
My second son was colicky, I feel your pain. Honestly nothing worked for him as far as cutting anything out of my diet, he was just colicky. Gripe water did help a little. He was colicky from 3 weeks until about 9weeks or so. I did find some things to soothe him like running the shower and hanging in the bathroom with him for a little while, bouncing on an excercise ball was a life saver ( he immedialey calmed down - my legs got back into shape so quick, lol). Let me know if there is anything else I can help with since I know what you are going through.
