bringing a laptop to Europe?
Has anyone brought a laptop to Europe...just wondering where you found a electric current converter for the 3 prong plugs?

I always bring one with me, because I am generally travelling there for work, the converter that I have is not a 3 prong one. My laptop battery pack is only 2 prongs.
Check with your hotel?

You will likely need a power converter and a plug converter. Are you near CompUSA? They are usually very helpful at providing the right equipment.

I will stop into a store to see...
I'm debating bringing it...we are staying in a time share most of the time and I'm not even sure I will have internet access at all.

You don't need a converter, just an adapter. Your laptop should say on the little power box 110-240v~ and then 50-60Hz. This makes it work anywhere with an adapter, all the conversion happens in the little power box on your cord.
I bought a special cord with a whole set of plugs for around the world (worth it if you travel a bit like I do). I have never had a problem and have used it with 3 different laptops. You can also just get an adapter at Micro Center or one of those stores. They sell them at the airport as well. My DH uses the adapter I use the special cord set.

I brought my laptop on my HM!
It helped us plan out our days and we emailed home instead of calling.
