Britax Marathon v. Graco Nautilus
We are switching my 5 month old out of the infant car seat into a convertible seat because he is just too big for the infant seat. He at his appt last week was 21lbs 4ozs and 27 1/2 inches long. (He's growing sooooooooo fast!) We need a car seat that is going to last for awhile and is safe. I think we have it narrowed down to the Britax Marathon and the Graco Nautilus. Any suggestions or comments either way??
TIA.

Re: Britax Marathon v. Graco Nautilus
I could be wrong, but I believe that babies need to be rear facing for at least 1 year with the new recommendation being 2 years. That said, the Nautilus is only a front facing seat. The Britax is rear and front facing.

Re: Britax Marathon v. Graco Nautilus
The Nautilus can't be rear facing, so its not an option for your infant. Graco MyRide65 can be rear facing, and he can grow with it.
We had a Britax before moving to the Nautilus (at 3.5yrs old). They're both great seats.

Re: Britax Marathon v. Graco Nautilus
I did not know the Nautilus wasn't rear-facing. From one of the descriptions I read it seems it was. I guess that solves my problem. THanks!!
