Thank you! We got a family pass back in May since it gets us also into the NY aquarium, Central park zoo, queens and prospect park zoo. So we try to at least go to the NY A, BZ and CPZ a few times. DD loves it. I think it is a great place to take them since there is so much to look at!

Why do you want to take one car? or follow me? It is VERY easy - NS to the grand central to the cross island - over the whitestone bridge, to the hutch, to pelham parkway and it is right off of that. It think it took us about 35 mins with no traffic on Sat morning to get there.
Just DON"T go on wed it is FREE day - so it is crazy. I have a pass so you would be free to get in (DC are free since they are under 2).

No it isn't a free pass that I give up my membership allows me to bring 1 guest for free anytime I go - that is how I brought my friend with DH, DD and I on Sat. It allows you to get into the zoo and all the attractions for free.
