BRU - return policy REALLY stinks!

I bought something on-line 2 weeks ago, it came, and it wasn't what I thought - TV cover and DS took it right off the TV - so when I returned it last night, all I got was store credit!!!
I paid for it on my credit card and got store credit!! ***?!! I had the packing slip and all they said was thats our policy. no receipt. UMM, DOESN'T THE PAKCING SLIP COUNT AS A RECEIPT WHEN PURCHASING ON-LINE?!!

Lets boycott them!
Everything is an issue there now!

If you gave them your CC they should have been able to look it up and given you a full refund. I did that recently and had no problems. I would go back and talk to a store manager.

I went there yesterday with clothing that said Babies R Us on the packaging and they wouldn't take it back because I didn't have a gift receipt. I even had a hard time EXCHANGING a nipple for the bottle for a different level because I didn't have the receipt.

I received a broken toy, with no gift receipt. I brought it back to TRU, in the packaging, to EXCHANGE it for a working toy. They said they wouldn't even exchange it. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I just called the store to "politely" confirm their policy and confirmed that even though I offered my credit card # on which the item was purchased, I was still only given the store credit and I was just told that ALL purchases on-line that are returned in the store are given store credit.

packing slip says, "returns made easy"
YEAH RIGHT.
no more on-line purchases for me!

no more on-line purchases for me!



I guess it's store credit if you return to an actual store but you could return it to the online service for full credit.

Yeah, I think you can call them for a packing slip and mail it back if things are purchased online, no?
