BRU Return Policy PSA
FYI Ladies I went to the BRU in Whitestone yesterday and the cashier told me to keep my receipt because starting next week you need a receipt for all returns (I think she may have said exchanges too but I'm not 100% sure) Not sure if the receipt policy applies if the items were off your registry. If it does that would S U C K.

Re: BRU Return Policy PSA
I believe it does.
They refused to accept some returns off of my registry w/o a receipt.
I really wish they would explain this to all customers so shower guests would include the gift receipt.

I've returned a zillion items to BRU without a receipt and have used only my drivers license but I guess that's going to change. I have one more item off my registry that I'm not going to use and going to return tonight. I understand them making that policy for regular items but items purchased off your registry shoudl be different. Alot of people purchased items off my registry and didn't give receipts. What are u supposed to do then?

Re: BRU Return Policy PSA
They are horrible. Beware of this issue...
For anyone at your shower who is buying something that is exclusively on BRU website and not sold in the store, you CANNOT return it to the store. Even with sales receipt.
The only thing you can do is send it back, and the money will be refunded to the gift givers cc. talk about awkard.
I did not want a bassinet. I have no room for it and put the baby in the crib from day 1. My aunt went ahead and bought one for me off their website.
I had to sell it on craigslist...I did not want to go through her getting the refund and feeling like she had to do something else.

Because of them and Target, I have started to send AMEX gc instead of buying off the registry. More times then not, you find the item cheaper at another store anyway.

Re: BRU Return Policy PSA
if its something off your registery and you don't have a receipt, BRU has the technology to look up your registery and see when it was bought and how much the person paid. they did that a few times for me when I had to return doubles - the cashier was able to tell me when the person bought it, and gave me a credit for what they paid.

I had to sell it on craigslist...I did not want to go through her getting the refund and feeling like she had to do something else. OMG This happened to me. My cousin bought baby G's changing table. It was available on the website only. It came with a crack in it. After arguing with the store, corporate...everyone, they told me their hands were tied & they could only credit the purchaser's credit card & to call them and ask them to buy it again.
First of all, ew, how tacky, second of all, the shipping would NOT have been refunded or pro-rated, and 3rd, he was in China for 3 months on business and baby G came only 3 weeks later. I finally went there when it was busy & made a huge scene & fussed until they credited me the total amount with shipping on a gift card so I could order another one. It was RIDICULOUS!

really? that absolutely stinks! the info is still in their computer!
ETA: I was definitely within the 90 days for the first two items I returned, the last one - I have to think about, I returned it much later because people told me I needed two .
