BRU RAVE!!!
I just wanted to share our great return situation with Babies R Us in Sayville yesterday. I know a lot of people have had issues and based off your girls posts I was so nervous, but they took every single item back. We had several duplicates off our registry from my shower. Half had recipts, the other half were off the registry and one item was neither. Love having $600 on a gift card now for formula and diapers.
P.S. They were very kind too!!

That's great! I had the same experience last weekend, I had misplaced the gift-receipt and was fearing the worst, but everything turned out great! It must really depend on who you get at the store

i believe as long as the item was purchased off the registry, they will credit you back.
it's when the item is not on the registry and was purchased from BRU will they give you a hard time.
i have an item from BRU that is clearly from BRU but there was no transaction linked uo to it so they would not return it. i even tried putting it on my registry and marking it as purchased but they it didnt work.

see that is what I thought, but they took back the fisher price mobile that I didn't register for and had no recipt for and it wasn't clearly bought there. I guess it depends on the store clerk and location. I'm just raving about BRU in Sayville.

I had a similar experience--someone bought us a Carter's layette outfit at our NY shower. It happened to be the same outfit that we had already purchased as her take-home outfit. Unfortunately we couldn't return ours because MIL lost the receipt. The one we had from BRU had a SKN number on it (we both used to work at BRU so we knew it was purchased there) and they took it back, no questions asked.

I had the same exact wonderful experience at the Sayville BRU last week! The item was not from my registry and didnt have a gift receipt and they took it back no problem!! The manager was super sweet and i was pleasantly surpirsed!
GREAT to hear you had a good experience too

wow!! well that is awesome! i guess perhaps i should try to return the item elsewhere...
or perhaps even go to sayville!

its happening at every store, not just sayville, they lost so much business in the last 6-8 months due to their terrible policies that they are being much nicer and much more lenient these days!!
