BRU VENT

So two weeks ago DH and I went to BRU to order our glider.

They said 1-2 weeks MAX for it to come in.

I'm at 2.5 weeks now.

I just called for the 3rd time and they told me that since it was a "special order" it would be 5-8 weeks.

WELL IF IT HAD BEEN TOLD THAT I WOULDN'T HAVE ORDERED IT!!!!!



She told me she could either cancel the order for me or I could wait.

I'm so p!ssed. What would you do?

Wait another 3-5 weeks or cancel and order from another place?

UPDATING - So I just called again because it's STILL not in.

I ordered it April 15th.

They just told me it's a 10-14 week delivery.

HUH? How come EVERY time I call there is a different answer???

I should have cancelled it and gotten it somewhere else. I'm so annoyed.

And with the post-partum hormones I just want to sit and cry about it.

I would wait it out because unfortunately I think most places take longer for the gliders to come in.

I'm surprised they told you only 1-2 weeks in the beginning. I was told for any special order items it would be 8-10 weeks.

If you can find it somewhere else, I would cancel.

We had a similar issue at BBB with our crib. It wasn't really BBB fault though it was the company that made the crib.

That is really so annoying and I truly feel that so many people out there have no clue how to do their jobs.

Have you called around to other places to see if they have the same one - or one that you like? Not that you need to be dealing with this now!

I got my glider from Target within a matter of 4 days I think -- that was NOT special order, nor rush shipping...

I would cancel it and try to find it some were else

I would try to find it soemwhere else first and then cancel, just to make sure you can get it faster form somewhere else...Sorry you have to deal iwth this!

Bumping this because I just talked to them again and I'm warning you ladies to get the delivery times in writing from them:

So sorry!! Would you suggest getting it in writing as well for furniture?

I had issues with them with our dutalier glider as well but not the same situation.

We ordered ours end of Jan. Well it came in beginning of April. Well we got it home and the cushions were right but the rocker was defective and the base wouldn't line up with the seat to assemble it. We brought it back and they were nice about it but told me since it was special order (b.c of the cushions) we had to wait another 8-12 weeks for it to come in as it is a NEW order and so I have to do the wait all over - I can't understand that as they have the cushions which were right they should only need to get a new base and seat. So we have the ottoman and no glider and I think she is coming very soon.
