Brushing dogs teeth
My dog refuses to let me brush his teeth. Can anyone recommend something I can put in his water?? I am too afraid to have the vet put him out and do a cleaning.

Yes. He licks it off the toothbrush though. He will not let me actually brush. You think it matters??

Lucky used to fight me nail and tooth when i went to brush his teeth. Finally DH had to literally pin him down everytime i want to brush his teeth, now he lets me bruxh his teeth every day.

I have been brushing Jasmine's teeth since she was 10 weeks old so she is used to it...they have the brush, paste, and mints...she likes the mints and eats them up they are great dog breath freshners.

It takes a lot of work and practice but they do get used to it... it's worth fighting through for the health benefits.

Using a fingertip brush really helps with Bella- she used to flip out with the reg doggie toothbrush.
