BTDT 2 Under 2 moms (or 2 little ones) Help!

How do you leave the house?!? Chat Icon Actually, that's a serious question!

I have been to the park several times and on walks around the neighborhood with the 2 girls in the Sit and Stand stroller, but aside from that and trips to people's homes...I haven't been anywhere alone with them!

I need to go to CVS and I wanted to try to attempt it tomorrow. How would you handle this simple outing? Or any simple errands of this sort??

Any advice greatly appreciated!

You have a snap n go stroller for the newborn and carry the older one. Get a wagon but the infant seat in the front and older in the seat. Wear a sling and push a stroller. Or my personal favorite, wait for DH to come homeChat Icon

ok i know i am a real new mom of 2 under 2 (or 1 in my case) but I actually have ventured out on my own the past 2 days.

The first day I went to my moms. What I did was bring the infant seat and diaper bag/pocket book out first and lock the doors. Then I got my daughter, carried her out, locked the house.

Today I had to run to a few stores and did the same.

I didn't think it was so bad. I just think it took a little longer to get in and out.

I definitely like Karen's suggestion... Wait til DH gets hope. I enjoy the time to myself.

It takes planning and coordination.... Jayden had a lot of Dr's appt so I would have to take Nate with me. I usually left the stroller in the car, if it wasnt I'd take that to the car first. I bring the infant carrier near the door and Nate usually just watches me. Then I go back in the house, close the door turn on the alarm, grab the diaper bag and both the boys. Nate can walk down the steps but I still hold his hand while holding the carrier. I put Nate in the car first so he doesn't wander. Then I put the baby in.

I'd put the baby in a Bjorn and the older child in the front of the cart. Or I'd go to places like Target or BJ's that have carts made for multiple children, and the infant car seat would go in the front of the cart and the older child would sit in the extra seat/s.

Good luck! I remember how daunting the first couple of times were, but you'll be fine!

Ugh..I am really dreading this-thus my earlier Peapod post during the week- absolutely no food shopping with the two for me!!!
Great post, I think I like the bjorn/shopping cart combo.
