Btdt breast feeding moms please come in

I had 2 questions for u lovely ladies....

1. This ones a little tmi.... How did your breast change if they did after breast feeding. Did they get smaller, sag, grow or disappear...? Wanted to throw the question out there to get a general idea of what changes to expect for my body.

2. Did you let other friends and family hold your baby besides dh in the first few months of breast feeding?

3. did you try out the pump if you also pump (like if the phlanges fit) beforehand?

4. where would you recommend buying storage bags if pumping in advance?

1. They did , but I heard pregnancy does that more then BF. My boobs got pretty big while BF and then went back to my normal size after. They used to be pretty perky, but not anymore. They are not terrible but lay a little low. I also got stretch marks on them, but no where you could see them when I have a bra or bikini top on. (If I ever wear a bikini again, LOL)

2. Sure I let family hold the baby. We didn't leave the house much for about 8 weeks, but when people came to visit they of course wanted to hold the baby. We lived with my in-laws at the time when DS was born, so my Mother in law held him alot and I appreciated the break.

My boobs were definitely bigger when Breastfeeding. When i stopped they got a tad bit smaller than before. I lost alot of weight just by breastfeeding which is also i big plus!!
I let my whole family hold my DC.

My boobs got really big when I EBF, but didn't really change after I was done, and I BF for 11 months for both my kids.

I did have family and friends hold my kids, but since I BF them they were very attached to me and would cry if they didn't see me after a while, so I tried to have more alone time with DH and get them use to being with others, so it wasn't so hard on me.

I can't say I noticed a significant change in my breasts from breastfeeding. When I was pregnant, they grew about a cup and a half in size. I BFed my son for 15 months and they stayed that size throughout. However, I got pregnant again when he was 13 months old. So I don't know what would have happened to them if I wasn't pregnant when he weaned.
We let anyone who wanted to hold our son!

1. I BF DS for 23 months. My breasts were a 36D before, 36DD during, and now back to a 36D after. They are saggy, but that could just be because of the size and my age.... Nothing a good supporting bra can't fix!

2. EVERYONE held DS. I preferred it, actually. I wanted him to be used to different people and different ways of being held. I constantly plopped him in others' arms.

3. I used the parts that came with my pump - but they do sell other sizes in all stores, including Target, so if you find that it's not comfortable and you want something larger, it's easy to switch.

4. I wouldn't go crazy buying storage bags in advance. Wait for coupons/sales at BRU or BBB and buy then. I never really needed to pump much, so whatever came with my pump, was more than enough. Otherwise, I'd pump directly into bottles and use those to store in the fridge.

Yes, mine got very large while bf and I was already a double d. After I stopped bf they went back to regular size but they are more saggy but I think its from pg and being stretched so much.

2. Did you let other friends and family hold your baby besides dh in the first few months of breast feeding?

No everyone held my dd within a few hours of her being born. I only bf for 8 weeks because of supply issues but bf did not take away time from everyone in the family and friends holding her.

No I used the pump for the first time in the hospital. I didn't buy a pump until the day I came home and found out I was definitely going to need one.

4. where would you recommend buying storage bags if pumping in advance?

I never had extra bm to store, so this wasn't a problem for me.

1. They were definitely bigger while BFing. Deflated afterwards. Saggy now. This is after 2 kids.


2. Always let family hold the babies.

3. Did not try out the pump or pieces beforehand. But they worked just fine.

1. My boobs are bigger, but that is just because I gained weight. I think once I loose all the weight I want to they will go back to normal. Personally, I didn't notice any extra sagging.

2. Ummmmm I couldn't keep my baby out of the hands of my family if I tried! I welcomed it in fact so I could get a break.

3. I didn't pump much but trying out the parts before hand might be a good idea.

4. I like the Madela bags and I got them from Buy Buy Baby or BRU.
