BTDT C-Section mamas
Hi girls. I have my first drs apt after my csection next week and was just wondering what to expect.
I am such a wuss when it comes to surgery. I cringe when I look at my incision. I have steri strips and believe that my stitches are internal and dissolve. I'm hoping they just look at it and lightly touch my belly. Am I being nieve?
Also, how long until you guys really felt back to yourself?

Don't worry at all. The OB is just checking to make sure it's heeling ok
I had staples so at the 1st visit PP they took out the staples. I'm a wimp and that was nothing.

I had the stitches as well.
My first visit my Dr took off the steri strips which most of them were falling off on their own but I was too much of a baby to pull them off.
It was fine, no big deal
The stitches do dissolve on their own.

No stitches or staples for me, i had the glue. He asked that before my 6 week appointment to try and get most of the glue off, i think he said vasaline helped with that. I started at 4 weeks and had it gone by 6 weeks. Glue for me this time around too. He checked m blood pressure and the incision and said i was good and sent me on my way. That was about it.

Mine was just an incision check..no biggie.
I felt pretty much back to normal at about a month post C Section.

Mine dissolved and barely looked as if I was ever cut! I was back to myself In no time

ITA - incision check and b/p etc. And they ask how you are doing.

Agreed-for me I felt fully back to normal at my 6 week pp checkup.
