BTDT moms - Can you show me your jacket/coat for winter in the car???
Last year I used the bundle me. Obviously we won't be using an infant carrier this year or the bundle me. Any suggestions on what type of jacket to get. He has to walk from the house to the car, so he definitely needs a jacket. Any suggestions?

We've always just taken their jackets off when they get in the car and put them back on before they get out.

I don't have one yet for this year, but last year we did a fleece-type jacket that was warm but thin enough to wear in the carseat. But I am neurotic so I always had her winter coat in the car too in case, god forbid, the car broke down or we had to be outside for a while in the cold, then a warmer jacket would be necessary.

I just bought an AMAZING hoodie from Mini Boden. I'm totally in love. WELL worth the $$ IMO. It's lined, warm and will be perfect for house to car to store transfer without having to worry about a big bulky jacket.

I just went to their website and they don't make this for babies. I'm hoping I can find something similar. I need ideas on jackets also!

Same here. It is a PITA but I don't think its safe to use a bulky jacket with a car seat.

That's really nice, I may to check that out! It's thin enough to work in the carseat still?

Nice! It's horrible, I knew I had something similar to this last year for C but I couldn't remember what, I was going to dig through my old bins to remind myself what type of jacket she wore in the carseat b/c I knew it worked fine with the carseat.
Now maybe I won't dig!!

Re: BTDT moms - Can you show me your jacket/coat for winter in the car???
This year DS will be almost 2, I bought him a regular winter coat and fleece. If he wears the heavy coat I always take it off before putting him in the carseat. Its a PITA, but its safer. One of my friends bought the car seat poncho for her DD last year & loved it, if I would have known about it I would have bought it, but it didn't make sense for me this year bc DS is running/walking on his own and I want him in a coat when we are out, but it would have been perfect for last year when he wasn't even 1 yet. Car Seat Poncho
