BTDT Moms - Diaper/Wipes Question
I recently got an email from Pampers.com promoting their "Swaddlers Sensitive" line of product and I have some questions.
If any of you use or have used them, do you think it makes/made a difference in your DC's skin reactions (or lack thereof)? Or do you think its a gimmick and another way to sell products by calling them "sensitive." Just curious about what you think.
TIA

Re: BTDT Moms - Diaper/Wipes Question
We have been very lucky that DS has no skin problems. We have used whatever wipe was on sale. Again, we are very lucky to not be so concerned. Maybe Ed-lie will be like that too!

Re: BTDT Moms - Diaper/Wipes Question
We use the Sensitive wipes and haven't had any issues with DD's skin.
Is it b/c of the sensitive wipes, couldn't tell you. But we like them and don't see the need to switch.

Re: BTDT Moms - Diaper/Wipes Question
I didn't use the swaddlers sensitive, he was almost out of them by the time I even saw them in the store---my DS has sensitive/eczema prone skin and had no problems with the regular swaddlers. I do use the sensitive wipes if I buy pampers, otherwise i use the 365 brand from wholefoods

Same here!! As for the diapers, I used one box of them, but realized no need because at the hospital they used regular Swaddlers & I took a bunch home & was using them..........but I will stick with the Sensitive Wipes!

Re: BTDT Moms - Diaper/Wipes Question
DD has really sensitive skin so we used them until recently. She definately had a reaction when I used different ones.

Re: BTDT Moms - Diaper/Wipes Question
We had no issues with my daughter but my son is allergic to pampers diapers. As for the sensitive wipes I think there is a difference I don't find them to be as moist as the other wipes.

Re: BTDT Moms - Diaper/Wipes Question
We've been using the sensitive wipes since DS was born and it's been working well for him. The pediatrician has the regular unscented ones in his office, and whenever DS uses those he doesn't have a reaction to those either. We stuck to the sensitive ones to be safe since we have a family history of eczema and allergies.

Ditto except I used the sensitive one early on then switched to regular and now use swipers.

Re: BTDT Moms - Diaper/Wipes Question
Being a lily-white lovely with sensitive skin (like her momma), DD gets only Pampers Sensitive. I really like them MUCH better than any of the other types, and ESPECIALLY better than Huggies.

Re: BTDT Moms - Diaper/Wipes Question
I used sensitive wipes for two months. They are much thinner, so I would use more wipes and kind of smell like paste. I use huggies diapers and I really like them. I wasn't quite as happy with pampers, but I did not try the sensitive ones.

Re: BTDT Moms - Diaper/Wipes Question
We use pampers sensitive for Ben. We tried Huggies but they made his tushy red so we stick with what works.

Re: BTDT Moms - Diaper/Wipes Question
We've used the Sensitive Wipes from day one with DD but only because DH and I both have skin issues. I just found out they had the Sensitive Diapers, but she has had no problems with the regular Pampers. She's only had a diaper rash once and we switched from Desitin to Balmex and she hasn't had one since.

Re: BTDT Moms - Diaper/Wipes Question
We used regular swaddlers for Victoria until she was about 4 months. Same with sensitive wipes.
All I can say is we maybe had 1 issue with a rare tushy in that time frame. After that, we switched to BJ's brand wipes which we had coupons for and have had no issues with them. We've used target and BRU diapers with no problems

Re: BTDT Moms - Diaper/Wipes Question
I used the sensitive wipes for both of my DC's because they have pretty sensitive skin. I noticed a big difference when I switched from the regular ones to the sensitive ones. I still use regular diapers though, and have had no problems with those.

Re: BTDT Moms - Diaper/Wipes Question
Honestly we used the pampers sensitive wipes in the beginning and she still got very irritated. Every baby is different, some babies are fine with any wipe, but in our experience we had to use plain white washcloths with warm water in the very beginning. We had to stock up on them! And then down the line I much prefered the texture of huggies wipes.
I think it is trial and error. Everyone has luck with something different.

Re: BTDT Moms - Diaper/Wipes Question
I still use these! I switched to the "toddler wipes" for awhile and noticed their bums getting a bit irritated from them...so I switched back and will continue to use them.

Re: BTDT Moms - Diaper/Wipes Question
DS has no issues with any wipe or anything. But the Pampers Sensitive are still my favorite. I started using them when he was a NB and still buy them, especially if I have a coupon!
Love pampers diapers too, we went from Swaddlers to Cruisers and to me they are the nicest ones, soft, not super bulky and they absorb great!

Re: BTDT Moms - Diaper/Wipes Question
We were told by the hospital NOT to use wipes for the first 4 weeks because of potential reactions to diapers/wipes/oinments etc.
To date we really only use wipes when out w/ DD. At home we use soap & water (and so does my mom).
ETA: OOPS, forgot to answer question. I prefer the Huggies Sensitive to Pampers. IMHO, they are larger and softer.

Yeah I did not plan on using anything more than cotton/washcloths until I feel she is ready to move on to wipes.
Thanks again!!!
