BTDT moms - questions about 9 months
DS will be 9 months this week and it seems like everything I read suggests big changes at this age - ie dropping naps, eating differently, etc, etc.
Was 9 months as dramatic as they make it out to be? What differences did you notice as your child turned 9 months.
I'm assuming it happens more gradually than everything says, but it seems to be some kind of magic number! As if I'm not already overwhelmed most days!

Re: BTDT moms - questions about 9 months
DS did drop a nap soon after turning 9 months! He's down to 2, 45-min naps a day (usually around 9:30 AM and 2PM). He goes to bed at 8 and wakes at 6:30/7. He started eating less baby food and wanting more table food, and started drinking less of his bottles. This also went hand in hand with a big teething episode (he has 8 teeth and 2 more coming in now), so I don't know how much is age, and how much is teething! He also started walking during the 9th month but luckily does only a few steps (I can't even keep up with him crawling!).

some things yes, some no... He is slowly changing...trying to drop naps, some days he only takes two naps and other days it's still three. Boatloads of teeth all of a sudden. Eating more table food, but still drinking his bottles. Much more interaction and playing. And we get Seperation Anxiety days, which are not fun...he is sooooooo clingy on those days I can't move without him hanging onto my legs and crying. Then other days he's perfectly content to play by himself.
But overall, it's an amazing stage He is so much fun to play with and just loves any kind of interaction!

DD is right around your DS's age, born the day before him I'm pretty sure and I noticed a big change in her around 8 months. She dropped to two naps (usually 40 min each), and a huge increace in the separation anxiety. I JUST started table food last week, so I dont' have any experience with that.

DD will be 9 months tomorrow, but for me this has been the whole last month. My normally happy girl who loved to play independently literally whines every time I leave the room. Its getting exhausting and I'm at a loss of what to do... Am I supposed to let her whine, or is that mean!! Sorry to hijack.
