BTDT moms- bassinet- when to move?
When did you move your little one from the bassinset and into the crib? How did you do it? I'm so afraid that my DD will not take to this well! (Or should I say I will not take this well!)

I moved my daughter at 10 weeks, and it was a non-event. She slept the same. She was still in the Miracle Blanket at the time, so that might have eased the transition.

I moved him at 4 months. I was afraid and thought it would be so hard too but it really wasn't at all. I had my video monitor in his bassinett at night for 2 weeks so it was like he was right there

Well not from the bassinet but from the carseat  to the crib, at 1 month. Cold turkey. Just one night we put him in there and he's been there ever since. It was alot harder on me than it was on him, believe me.

6 months 
She was in our bed and her hammock bed until then. She transitioned well to the crib and I did better than I expected. I think its probably because I waited until I felt we were both ready for the change. There is no way I could have tried it sooner. I was prepared to have her with us for a year but we all started losing sleep.

at 3 months, we started putting him in the crib in his own room and moved him from the bassinet in our room. It was our best move, from that night on, he's been sleeping 12 hour nights! He loves his crib!

We moved DD at exactly 2 mos. It was a non-event and she actually likes sleeping in it. We keep her swaddled so that could contribute to her being calm in the crib

I moved him in his room, in his crib @ about 2.5 months... He was still swaddled @ night, and made a smooth transition

Right around two months. When he was in his bassinett, he kept waking himself up every time he stretched because he kept hitting the sides. He sleeps much better in the crib.

My son will be 5 mos tomorrow and he's still in his bassinet. I will be moving him to his crib in the next few weeks.

both my daughters went into the crib at 6 weeks - otherwise, I wake up at every little grunt and groan and get no sleep, and they probably get less sleep bc I am constantly checking if they are dirty, hungry or whatever. At 8 weeks old now danielle goes into the crib at 10pm and sleeps until 8am!

Brendan is only 1 month old today and DH already wants to move him to his crib, but I'm so not ready yet. I'm glad to see so many of you have left them in longer.

I started putting him in his crib at 6 weeks for naps, 8 weeks overnight. He always liked his crib.
