BTDT moms of 2 or more.....
OK- I finally got a + on an ovulation predictor. Now Im freaking out. DH and I have discussed this ad nauseam. We are ready for #2. I'm 34 and we want at least 2 more.
Just like when we conceived #1, I have all these doubts about whether we can really DO it. I know we can (life is actually pretty good), but at the same time I am terrified.
DD is STILL not sleeping through the night, I'm still getting used to my new career, and money will be slightly tight until I start working full time (which won't happen for a few years). Plus- I'm still trying to lose the baby weight from DD.
I know I'm being silly- DH and I have DISCUSSED all this. I am just SO terrified of change- every major life decision I have ever made has always thrwn me into a tailspin.
Sorry- I guess I just need a pat on the back and a kick in the @ss telling me it'll all be FINE (or at least tell me to stop being such a wuss).

Re: BTDT moms of 2 or more.....
I don't think I was ever ready for kids. Both times I was in my last trimester, I would get these pangs of panic where I would think to myself "Oh my G-d, what did I do?"
They're here. I'm still not ready to go through them growing up, but I wouldn't change it for the world.
Good luck!

Re: BTDT moms of 2 or more.....
Remember when you first got pregnant? You had all the same fears, worries and doubts.
Well, look at how far you've come! You're doing it right now... exactly what you feared the 1st time and you're getting through each day just fine, good times and bad times.
Only you and your DH know what's going to work for you.
However, I truly believe that we aren't given anything more than we can handle in this life.

Re: BTDT moms of 2 or more.....
My first wasn't sleeping that well when #2 was born, but I think it made it a little easier. #2 doesn't sleep throught he night, but it's like I'm used to it - numb almost! LOL
It was definitely tough the first 2-3 months - the first needed to adjust - but 5 months later i can see they are going to be great friends - and that is priceless.
I didn't lose all the weight either - but I'm almost there now and I just really wanted my body back. hang in there - it all falls into place.

Re: BTDT moms of 2 or more.....
I am pregnant now with #2. We decided to TTC when DD was 2, got pregnant, lost the baby. It took me another year to be ready and with TTC for this pregnancy. I still can't believe I am pregnant and will have another daughter in a few months. As ready as I am, I am also terrified of all the new changes to come in our lives. But, it's a change I am ready for. KWIM. I personally said my first DD had to be sleeping through the night, not nursing anymore and pretty much had my body back for a year before we could TTC for another. It sounds like logically everything is mapped out. you never know what will happen. Life always throw curve balls at you. another child will be great and everything will eventually work itself out like with the first. Good luck.

Re: BTDT moms of 2 or more.....
Thanks so much ladies- as always you are so supportive. I just spoke to my mom (who had my sister and I just 13mos apart!) and she laughed and said-For goodness sakes, you worry too much- plug your nose, close your eyes, and just jump right in!"
Poor DH has no idea what he's in for when he gets home....

Re: BTDT moms of 2 or more.....
Mine are 14 1/2 months apart. So far its ALOT easier than what everyone was telling me. I was so scared to have DD#2 but I LOVE it. Kaitee is a GREAT big sister and my heart mealts everytime I see them together. I can't wait till Chelsea is old enough to play with Kaitee! I wouldn't change having them so close togther. The part I am dreading is the highschool years with 2 girls about the same age!
