BTDT Mom's of kiddies close in age, a ?
Did your child regress in any areas when the next came along? If so, what areas?

my kids are 20 months apart. not sure if you think thats close in age or not. but my child didnt regress at all when the baby came along, infact i think it helped her alot having someone around to interact with all day long.

Mine are 22 months apart.
There was no regression on Joseph's part. The only thing I can think of is when he no longer had the crib, he wanted to sleep in it because suddenly it looked like fun.
I had taken a lot of things away from him early on because I considered the 10 months of pregnancy time to set him straight. He was off the bottle by a year & on to sippy cups/regular cups.
I think he saw himself as a "helper". He showed Maddie how to crawl, etc.

my question stems from having a terribly hard time getting Roman off the bottle at 15 months. All I'm thinking is man what if it happens then he sees me feeding the baby and wants it again.

I would reiterate what a big boy he is to drink like mommy & daddy. We focused on Joseph being able to do things like we do. Peer pressure can be a wonderful thing early on.

You'd be amazed at the power a huge character cup has over a bottle. I'd buy him so cool cups that he couldn't resist.

You should see my cabinet, I don't have any room for normal glasses because it's all sippy cups of all sorts! I will keep reiterating the big boy thing, we're already doing it with him napping in his big boy bed.
