BTDT moms of VERY long babies...Walking question...
Do VERY long babies tend to walk later?
DS is 8 months, has always been off the charts for length since birth, and was 32" at his 7 month appt. His next appt. isn't for another month, but I am thinking he will be between 34-35" then (he's about 33.5" now). My doctor mentioned that the length might make walking a little more difficult. All the babies in my family and DH's walked early, and I don't want to compare, but I am just wondering if I should expect him to be a little later due to the length.
Did your tall DC walk later?

I forget the exact stats- but Emma was wearing 18-24 month sizes at 10 months when she started walking. She was off the charts from 2 months of age and still is- she's 3 and wearing size 5.

My cousin is a ped. and mentioned it to me too. I don't know if it is just anecdotal evidence, or if it has been proven, but my cousin said that it's just more body to get in the way/fall over/have to carry.
And I'm getting sick of carrying him!

Re: BTDT moms of VERY long babies...Walking question...
My DD was in the 95th percentile for height. She started taking steps (if you held her hands) at 12 months old. By 15 months old she was walking all on her own without needing to hold onto something or your hands.
