BTDT Moms, please recommend your double stroller
I am due with in March. DS will be 17 months old. I'd like to know which double stroller you'd recommend. Side by side? Front & back? It needs to be able to attach an infant carrier. I have no idea what to look for. Thank you so much!

We have the chicco double stroller. I prefer it over the side by sides.

I have a side by side and HATE it. It is overall a great stroller but it is just too damn wide. I'd go w/ a front/ back one.

Re: BTDT Moms, please recommend your double stroller
We have the combi sport side by side one and love it! It can fit through a standard size door and while yes it is wide, it's also ALOT easier to push than a front to back stroller.
We also have a Graco front and back stroller which is a PITA to push with both kids in it. It is hard to steer and feels like I am pushing alot more than whats in there.
Check them out in the store and put your one child in and see how you can manuever them all the best through the aisles.
My DD's were 13 months apart and i couldn't even use the front to back one for a while since my older DD would try to kick or head butt her sister no matter which seat she was in.

City Mini Select 2011
LOVE the side by side. It's not too wide at all and so light. We have a 2 year old and almost 5 month old. Both sit so comfy. My toddler likes it better than our Chico Stroller we got when he was a baby. Only thing that stinks is everything else is extra to add on. DOesn't make too much of a difference to me b/c DS isn't a big eater so could care less about snack tray. LOL

Re: BTDT Moms, please recommend your double stroller
I have 2, one tandem, one side by side.
When DS was an infant I used the Phil & Ted's Vibe tandem and I loved it, except folding it is a b!tch and I kept it in my car so I folded and unfolded it daily.
But then DS got too big and started to fuss being in the back so I bought the Combi side by side. It's light weight and folds so easily so I love it, but it just barely fits through doors.
I also had a sit and stand but I hated it because it was really difficult to steer.

City Mini Double. I love it. It's very sturdy, pushes great and easy to fold up. I am really happy with it.

My cousin recommends that one too. Can I attach the infant carrier to it? I was looking online but I don't see where the seat would go.

Yes - they have an attachment that you can buy separately for the infant seat. This is the one that I am getting.

Re: BTDT Moms, please recommend your double stroller
My boys were 14 months apart and we got the bumbleride indie twin. We have been very happy with it.
Before deciding on your stroller between front and back and side by side think about how you are planning to use the stroller.
If you do lots of walks I think the side by side is best but if you primarily use it for shopping the back and front might be better.

Did you mean you love "front to back". The city select is front and back. I have this. DS1 was 20 months when DS2 was born. I love a ton of things about this stroller. I can use it as a single is the biggest pro. I loved that I could use it facing me, with the carseat attachment, and then facing out as well. I love that I can switch who sits where. At 3.5yr and 21 months, both DS can sit in either seat and my older DS still loves to sit in the stroller. The only thing is, the seats are small. So while DS1 still likes it, he is a smaller boy. It manuevers fairly easily, I can guide it with one hand, and one hand on the phone or on coffee.

On a side note, my dd is 3 months and she has been able to go in it for over a month now using a head supporter. I also read that a better investment it the belly bar and that most car seats fit right into it. I would try that out in the store though.

Re: BTDT Moms, please recommend your double stroller
Love my BOB duallie, great for walks and I can fit thru doors (with practice) It is definitely not good for mall shopping with thin aisles btwn racks, but I have done it. I also have a sit and stand which I rarely use bc it is so much more effort for me to push/steer then the BOB.

Re: BTDT Moms, please recommend your double stroller
I'm expecting in the spring and they will be 26 months apart. Since my DS is still good in the stroller, I'm thinking I will need a double, but I'd LOVE to not have to get one.
Even though the side by sides are made to fit standard doorways, the way the doors open and the way the elevator is shaped in my building, it would be VERY difficult to use a side by side. So my only choice is front to back and those are usually SO hard to steer.
The only ones I've found so far that are very easy to use are the City Select and the B-Ready. Both about the same price, but the B-Ready only has the option for the second child to be in the bottom rear of the stoller and I'm not a fan of that. The City Select has more options that I think would work for both kids to see out etc.
I just don't want to spend $700 on a double stroller (cost of stroller plus second seat, etc). The good think is that it can be used as a single or a double, but I have a city mini single and love it.
I'm still wondering if I can make do with two singles, and maybe add a boogie board to the back of one stroller if I'm by myself. We'll see.
