BTDT Moms: Sex after birth...TMI alert
So I'm 8 weeks pp, and we tried to have a "romantic" evening last night, and the pain was just INSANE, and i bled a little after, suffice it to say it wasn't too enjoyable...I did tear a bit with my delivery....any experiences and when its going to feel normal again...

It was a bit painful for me the first time we did it (we only waited like 5 weeks  ) and then the second time I was fine.

just like the very first time.. it hurts at first but it adventually works out. Not to be too TMI .. if didnt try lubricant.

Yes, your restretching the area that hasnt been well touched in awhile. As long as the bleeding stopped than you should be fine. If it continued and was ALOT, then I would be alarmed.

I had the exact same experience. I didn't think it would be that bad since I had a c-section, but I was wrong. I've read that it could be painful up to 1 year after giving birth.

jen, you are BFing right? that could also have something to do with the pain. you will be drier down there for a while, it is normal and it will get better

I tore too and it hurt the first few times. We stopped several times at first because of the pain, but then one time I just kept going through it, it got easier. Def. use lube!
ETA: I bled too - a little bit is normal.

I had a c-section, but had the exact same problem. I couldn't even chalk it up to dryness because that was not the issue...
I told DH it kinda felt like the VERY first time all over again...weird!

I actually didn't have any issues. In fact, I thought it was strange that my sex drive came back so intensely after basically not wanting anything for 9 months. 
Now the issue we're dealing with is I went back on the pill and my bleeding has come back. My system seems totally screwey so I haven't wanted to do anything again.

I am BFing and it does create dryness. Just invest in some "yours and mine" librication and you will be fine DON'T TRY TO DO IT WITHOUT SOMETHING!
