BTDT Moms: Is sex ever the same after giving birth?
Do you really heal 100% after giving birth? Is sex the same?
I feel like I am never going to want to have sex again after going through the trauma of birth. I can't imagine everything going back to normal.
Anyone else concerned about this?

I was thinking about this the other day. I hope it does go back to normal.

Yes, it goes back to normal pretty soon after. By the 6 week check up everything was good

Re: BTDT Moms: Is sex ever the same after giving birth?
I had no problems and I have two kids. It might be better because I am actually more comfortable with myself. I'm not sure how your DH's might feel after watching childbirth:)

Re: BTDT Moms: Is sex ever the same after giving birth?
I am only going to speak from my own experience, but for me it took a long time and at times its still feels different. I had a very large episiotomy, My DS was 10lbs, I also needed the suction thing (I don't remember the correct name of it) to get him out. So I was hurting down there for a while. Internally I don't feel different, still great, but external I am still a bit sensitive. Sorry for TMI, but if I'm the least bit dry, I'm in a bit of pain.
Hope I didn't scare anyone...Remember everyone is different, has different deliveries and heals differently so don't worry.

Im not gonna lie- it took a while after my first for things to be "normal"again. With my second- i think he put an extra stitch in or something- it was better than before!

I also heard that as long as you remain active in your 3rd trimester it will help prevent your baby from coming late. Unfortunately, as much as I tell DH this, the whole thought of it completely freaks him out because the baby is so big now. Honestly, I'm not completely bummed because frankly I have ZERO desire to do anything in that bed but !

Re: BTDT Moms: Is sex ever the same after giving birth?
It did with the first baby- but she was only 6pds 10 oz. Now I was told I was having an 8 pounder and I am TERRIFIED that its going to change things down there

Everything is normal here. HOWEVER, the number of times NEVER went back to normal! We are both too exhausted all the time!

I want to do it, but I get so frustrated bc I can't find a comfy position and it is such an effort to shave down there!

Re: BTDT Moms: Is sex ever the same after giving birth?
I had a C-section so it's like nothing ever happened. All is the same "down there". Maybe it would be different though if I delivered vaginally.

I feel so uncomfortable that I have no desire to BD. DH also feels like the baby is a third wheel. haha

My husband said it was better than before. He wanted to send my OB/GYN a present. I think it had been too long and he forgot what it was like

See? I'M ALL FOR IT...it's DH! I can't get him to touch me with a 10 ft pole I think he's freaked out or turned off by my belly and just not telling me. It's not helping my self-esteem I tell ya!
